    The white plant is called daikon and it's a great substitute for potatoes if you're on a low carb diet. It's a kind of radish but has a very flexible consistency depending on how you cook it.

    I feel like it’s insulting when others say “too much free time” in regards to a hobby. Only because it’s happened to me. If it’s a skill or a piece of art that is made delicately, to say the artist has too much free time is demeaning of the effort and skill that it takes to create something.

    That white vegetable is called a mooli, also known as a daikon radish, super bitter when eaten in large chunks. I didn’t know this, so when I was making a pint of vegetable juice using a vegetable juicer at work I saw one of these things and used it. It was the worst taste in the fucking world, like drinking liquid pennies.
