Wait and see when 25 people actually show up.

So you claim they are hiding weapons of unimaginable power - and your plan is to run directly at them?

Lol Area 51 is so remote. 250k people aren't willing to go that far and they'd see them coming from an hour away

I won’t participate but I will absolutely watch

Is area 51 even actively developing/testing new aircraft anymore?

Back in the 50s and 60s it was useful as it was well out of the way for anyone on the ground, and the sorts of spy satellites that could actually gather intel were all obvious and easy to track so they could just hide stuff when they flew over.

These days, any sort of secret that could (so, not stuff like engine internals or materials) be detected from space is going to be near impossible to hide from powers that know where to look. And given that Area 51's general location hasn't really ever been a secret, I doubt that they would be doing any kind of outdoors testing there anymore.

    Narrator: "They could."

Edit: my highest ranked comment ever is 3 words long. :D

Breaking news: 250k people coincidentally commited suicide at the same time around the US. COINCIDENTALLY.

Now we just need to convince the antivaxxers that proof of Big Pharma's conspiracy is held at Cheyenne Mountain, and we might be able to have nice things again.

Can I point out that this isn't exactly a covert operation. By the time the "attack" is carried out, they could have moved all the secret shit elsewhere. In fact, if I were the General in charge of Area 51 I'd be sure it was totally and completely vacant except for a single post-it that says "gotcha"

Well even if 250k people show up....if they are unarmed..... Then yes. Yes they can stop you. And they will.

My dudes, every Facebook even like this is an obvious joke. Might as well be The Onion

From there, the group will “Naruto run” with their arms stretched behind them like Naruto Uzumaki in the Japanese anime series “Naruto,” and therefore “move faster than their bullets.”

If anyone read the article, you would know the event was made on a known satire page. Definitely not a real thing happening nor is it a "nottheonion" type article

For everyone saying that they will get shot, that's unlikely. It's more likely that they will get hit with any of a number of non-lethal crowd control devices. Heck, I'm pretty sure the AF can scrounge up a sonic cannon that will blast eardrums. Or maybe just tear gas. It's really easy to stop a bunch of people moving in a single direction, especially in July in the desert heat.

Wouldn't the government just say, "Huh, guess it's finally time to move the cool stuff to area 52."

The event page on FB is incredible. The constant memes coming from within are outstanding.

I'm not saying a word to all of you condescending skeptics about the cool shit we see after we get in. Out of the now 276k members marked as going at least 1k of them have to be Naruto runners and I cant see any possible situation where our government has projectiles fast enough to shoot them.
